The Joint Entrance Examination JEE main and advanced 2020 and the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test NEET 2020 (undergraduate) have been postponed to September 2020.
A decision in this regard has been taken today [03/07/2020] following the recommendation of the expert committee set up by the ministry of human resource development on Thursday after receiving huge demands for postponement of the exams from candidates across the country over the worsening of the pandemic.
The computer based multi-session JEE (main) examinations will be conducted from September 1 to September 6, while the JEE (advanced) will be held on September 27, 2020. The pen-paper mode entrance for medical colleges, NEET-UG will be held on September 13, 2020.
A decision which will bring relief to around 25 lakh candidates, the expert committee, chaired by professor V Ramgopal Rao, director, IIT-Delhi, in its report on Friday had recommended postponing the exams in view of the prevailing COVID-19 situation.
