Admission Procedure & Requirements

• For admission to the college, application should be made in prescribed form enclosed in the college prospectus.
• Admission to the college is strictly on merit and subject to the approval of the Principal.
• Attested copies of Marksheets of the last qualifying examination and provisional certificate from the Head of institution last attended must be submitted along with the Application Form. A passport size photo of the candidate should also be pasted at the appropriate place in the Application Form.
• There is reservation for SC/ST/OBC/DA (Differently Abled) students as per Government rules. There is also reservation (very limited) for students having outstanding performances in extra-curricular activities in atleast inter college/ state level events.
• Candidates seeking admission against reserved seats must submit attested copies of certificates from appropriate authority along with the application form.
• Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination earlier than the current year, must submit a "Gap Certificate" regarding his activities during that period, from govt. recognized institutions/ court affidavit as per University rule.
• Application forms duly filled in, along with the necessary documents must be submitted within the specified dates mentioned in the admission notification displayed in the college notice board/ newspaper.
• Candidates seeking admission to the college will be interviewed on the specified dates as per notification.
• The following documents in 'ORIGINAL' must be produced at the time of interview.
  1. Mark- sheet of the last examination passed.
  2. Provisional Pass Certificate from the Head of the institution last attended.
  3. Gap Certificate, if needed.
  4. Necessary certificates from proper authority in case of reserved seats.
• Application form must be filled up completely. Incomplete forms/ documents will be rejected.
• No change or swapping of Honours subjects in either Science or Arts stream will be allowed once the process of admission is completed. The College Authority shall in no circumstances whatsoever entertain any plea regarding Honours subject change or swapping.
• The applicant must be present at the time of admission along with the original documents as mentioned in the back side of the Application Form.
• Amount to be paid at the time of Admission

• 1.	B.A. 1st Semester	(Honours)	Rs. 5,010.00 *(Rs. 200/- extra for Education Core)
  2.	B.Sc. 1st Semester	(Honours)	Rs. 5,759.00 *(Rs. 200/- extra for Chemistry Core/ GE)
  5.	H.S. 1st Year (Arts)		Rs. 4,430.00 (for Boys)
  			Rs. 3,830.00 (for Girls)
  6.	H.S. 1st Year (Science)		Rs. 4,900.00 (for Boys)
  			Rs. 4,280.00 (for Girls)
  7.	Hostel Admission Fee per annum		Rs. 8,500.00

• * However, the Govt. of Assam is going to implement uniform fee structure in all colleges of Assam; therefore, the above fee amounts may increase in our College. It is a subject to last minute changes as per notification of Govt. of Assam, and will be notified immediately to students/ parents before the admission.
• All students will have to pay Group Insurance Premium of Rs. 50/- once at the time of admission for insurance coverage of Rs. 20,000/-. This wil be paid back in case of death of the insured. This is absolutely a student welfare scheme of the college.
• Hostel Admission Forms will be issued only to Honours students after having the admission.
• For admission in N.C.C. and N.S.S., applicant must contact thye concerned A.N.O.s or Officer-in-Charge after the admission.
• Admission process will be started after the welcome speech from the Principal of the College.
• Admission is conducted in a transparent manner and live display of seats are made during the time of admission.
